Suppliers with verified business licenses
Audited by an independent third-party inspection agency
Foison is a very large international trading company with all independent trading rights.
The steel ball division was established in 1999. It's a professional ball processing company with strong technical force, fierce product development, and high production capacity. This division employs more than fifty technical and quality management professionals on site. It produces G10-G2000 specification balls in carbon steel, stainless steel, and ball-bearing balls, ranging anywhere from 0.45mm all the way up to 50mm in a variety of specifications.

A step-by-step manufacturing process for producing high quality precision steel balls
Raw material inspection
The raw material comes in the form of wire. First visually check the quality of the material and the absence of any defects. Verify diameter and review raw material certificate.
Cold heading
A cold header cuts a specified length of wire into a cylindrical blank. Then, the two hemispherical head molds the blank into a roughly spherical shape. The forging process is carried out at room temperature and a small amount of excess material is used to ensure that the cavity is completely filled. Cold heading occurs at a very high rate, with cycle times averaging about one large ball per second. Smaller balls progress at a rate of two to four balls per second.
flashing
Excess material formed around the precision steel ball is removed during the flash process. Ball bearings are passed several times between two recessed cast-iron plates, removing a small amount of excess material as they roll.
Heat treatment
The parts are then heat-treated using quenching and tempering processes. A rotary furnace is used to ensure that all components are exposed to the same conditions. After initial heat treatment, the parts are immersed in the tank. This rapid cooling (oil quenching) produces martensite, a steel phase with high hardness and excellent wear resistance. Subsequent tempering operations further reduce the internal stress until the final specified hardness range of the bearing is reached.
grinding
Grinding is performed before and after heat treatment. Fine grinding (also known as hard grinding) brings the ball closer to its final requirements. The grade of precision metal ball is the standard to measure its overall accuracy; The smaller the number, the more accurate the ball. The spherical level includes diameter tolerance, roundness (sphericity), and surface roughness -- also known as surface finish. Precision ball manufacturing is a batch operation. The batch size is determined by the size of the machine used for grinding and grinding operations.
grinding
Grinding is similar to grinding, but the material removal rate is significantly reduced. Grinding is performed using two phenolic plates and a very fine grinding slurry, such as diamond dust. This final manufacturing process greatly improves the surface roughness. High precision or ultra precision ball grades require grinding.
Clean the
Cleaning operations then remove any processing fluids and residual abrasives from the manufacturing process. Customers who require more stringent cleaning requirements, such as those serving the microelectronics, medical, or food industries, can take advantage of Hartford Technologies' more sophisticated cleaning options.
Visually inspect the
After the primary manufacturing process, each batch of precision steel balls is subjected to multiple in-process quality control checks. Perform a visual inspection to check for defects such as rust or dirt.
Roller measurement
Roller measurement is a 100% sorting process that separates undersized and oversized precision steel balls. Check out our separate video on the roller measurement process.
The quality control
Each batch of precision balls is inspected to ensure grade requirements for diameter tolerance, roundness and surface roughness. During this process, other relevant characteristics, such as hardness and any visual requirements, are also evaluated.
packaging
At the end of the process, the precision balls are dried and packed in plastic bags. For easily oxidized materials, including vapor corrosion inhibitor paper. In some cases, a VCI bag is used. Precision balls can also be coated with dry contact oil. Finally, carton weights and labels are specified to meet strict customer requirements.
So, where would you find our product?
perhaps if you're opening a drawer at home, our balls will be found inside the slide rail in your drawer. So, we do furniture production, electrical appliances, kitchen appliances, medical equipment, scales and balances, automatic transmissions for cars, pretty much anything and anywhere that you would need a high-quality small ball, even ball bearings, you'd find us there.
