Product Description

Catalytic converters play an important role in car's exhaust system
It filters harmful pollutants from engine exhaust into more environmentally friendly compounds. It is located under the car and connected to the exhaust system. Its main function is to transform three harmful compounds; Carbon monoxide, unburned fuel and nitrogen oxides become carbon dioxide, water and nitrogen.
Enter the catalytic converter. The toxic by-products of the fuel are removed by oxidation and reduction reactions that take place in the catalytic converter.
Basically, catalytic converters absorb harmful emissions, making them much less harmful.
Most modern cars are equipped with three-way catalytic converters which have three regulated emissions.
Reduction occurs in the first stage and oxidation occurs in the second stage. The control system monitors the exhaust flow and uses this information to control the third-stage fuel injection system.
